Osun Election: ‘I was treated with respect,’ physically challenged woman says

A physically challenged voter, Aminat Akinsola, on Saturday expressed satisfaction with the treatment she received while casting her ballot in the ongoing Osun governorship election.

Akinsola, who voted at Ejigbo Ward 4, Unit 6, said she was particularly pleased with the attention and assistance given to her because of her condition.

“I’m so happy because I was treated with respect while I was trying to cast my vote. I was even the first person to be accredited,” she said.

She commended the peaceful conduct of the voting process and expressed hope that the eventual outcome of the election would reflect the will of the people of Osun State.

Meanwhile, security personnel deployed to the polling unit were seen maintaining order and coordinating arrangements to ensure that voters could exercise their franchise without disruption.

Young voters were also organised separately according to gender as part of measures to ensure an orderly voting process.
