Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has added another milestone to her growing list of achievements after her hit single, “Bloody Samaritan,” earned a silver certification in the United Kingdom.
The certification was awarded by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), recognising the commercial success of the song, which was released in 2021 as part of Ayra Starr’s debut album, 19 & Dangerous, under Mavin Records.
The singer now joins an expanding list of Nigerian stars whose works have received UK silver certifications.
Among them are Burna Boy, whose projects African Giant, Twice As Tall and Love, Damini, have attained the milestone, and Asake, who earned similar recognition for Work of Art and the chart-topping single “Lonely At The Top.”
Other Nigerian artistes with UK silver-certified projects include Wizkid for Made in Lagos, Davido for Timeless, Tems for Born in the Wild, Omah Lay for Boy Alone, and Rema for Rave & Roses. Singer CKay also secured the certification for his global hit single, “Love Nwantiti.”
