Why I resigned as NFF fact-finding C’ttee boss – Fanny Amun:

Fanny Amun has given reasons he quit as chairman of the NFF fact-finding committee set up to probe the Super Falcons dismal performance at the recent WAFCON soon after he submitted his report.

The NFF set up a face-saving panel to look into the root causes of the Super Falcons failure to qualify for the Women’s World Cup for the first time in history through the WAFCON in Morocco.

Former NFF general secretary Amun headed the committee and he quit the position soon after he submitted the committee’s report. He said he resigned because he did not wish for anyone to influence the report.

“I didn’t want anyone to influence the report before I submitted it to the NFF. That was why I submitted it and resigned,” he said. “I told everyone, including members of the committee, that it would take two weeks, even though I knew it would not take me more than one week.

“This was because I didn’t want anyone to influence the fact-finding committee’s decisions, so I decided to submit the report and resign.
