Barely a week after the premiere of Big Brother Naija Season 11, themed “Show Ya Sef,” viewers have already begun sizing up the 24 housemates, with social media buzzing over their personalities, strategies and early interactions.

The reality show kicked off on Sunday with 24 contestants — 12 women and 12 men — drawn from different backgrounds. The housemates are Sheba, Araga, Mercedes, Cassi, Temi Nkem, Aikou, Nomy, Yusuf, Bluethopia, Martins, Oyin, Barry, Bells, Chimsom Chuka, Kamsy, Gerard, Abi, Keivo, Neche, Ricky, Flora, Sultex, Goddessa and Tram.

Although it is still early days in Biggie’s House, viewers believe the contestants have already offered glimpses of the drama, romance, rivalries and entertainment that could define the season. As is customary with BBNaija, fans have wasted no time profiling their favourites, predicting alliances and judging personalities based on the first few days in the house.

Sheba

X user @sumbajre described Sheba as “a rare combo of beauty, brains, confidence and entertainment,” adding, “I think I found my camp.”

Another fan, @bighotbaby, believes Sheba stands out because of her communication skills.

“One thing about Sheba, she knows how to talk and keep a conversation going. And when it comes to tasks or any activity, she’s all business — too serious, too focused,” the user wrote.

Temi Nkem

For @layersofstorm, Temi Nkem is “a quiet storm” who is effortlessly funny.

“God is the greatest. She is a vibe. Love it for her.”

@giftednezz praised her sense of humour, while @aga_kay believes the 21-year-old has a compelling story yet to unfold.

“Temi is interested in learning more about her culture and despite everything, she has a story which, when she’s comfortable, she will tell Biggie about. I just know she won’t be the same after this journey.”

Tram

Several viewers believe Tram has made a positive first impression.

@big_mims described him as “everything yummy” and “an honest guy.”

“I like him,” the user added.

Both @riemenn66 and @smoothdiary also praised his sincerity, with one asking: “Is it too early to say Tram for the money?”

Martins

According to @samuelpresh, Martins’ confidence could become a source of conflict.

“Martins coming in with the pride is gonna cause a lot of trouble. Let’s see how far it takes him.”

Another fan, @AanuGodplenty, believes Martins’ calm demeanour and charming smile could win over the ladies.

“He looks old but calm and has a charming smile. He will use his smile to melt those girls’ hearts.”

Meanwhile, @leonaapex joked about Martins’ claim that he can read minds.

“A 30-year-old male model who claims he can read minds. Biggie has brought a psychic into the house this year. Let’s see if he can read the eviction list before Ebuka calls it.”

Nomy

Opinions about Nomy have been sharply divided.

@Elizabeth described her as “a big manipulator with a deceptive face.”

Another user, @shocking_prof_, wrote in Pidgin:

“This one get inferiority complex as another man no dey interested in her. Na envy wan wound her. Ugly girls and envy ehn eeh.”

On the other hand, @charity_tech123 applauded her ability to create compelling diary room moments.

“She’s giving us story time without doing too much. The diary room is for building narratives and Nomy is serving early drama. Love it or hate it, at least the show isn’t boring yet.”

Oyin

Many fans believe Oyin has quickly established herself as one of the season’s standout personalities.

According to @allaboutnason: “From negotiating wake-up sounds to asking Biggie for a loan, she made her diary session memorable. She’s definitely one to watch this season.”

Another viewer, @fukarajo, admired her composure.

“In a house packed with strong wills, too many chiefs can turn every talk into a quiet power struggle. Holding back when the group starts correcting itself is not weakness. It is strategy that protects your peace and your plate.”

Meanwhile, @corncecares praised her playful exchanges with Biggie.

Mercedes

Mercedes also attracted attention after her early interactions in the house.

Reacting in Pidgin, @obinnaemeka30617 wrote:

“Omo Mercedes sabi her work. She don already talk am for stage say she dey work with her hands and this na living witness. Mercedes for the money. But why Bluethopia come dey happy pass everybody? See that reaction, face and body expression. Baddie recognise baddie.”

Bluethopia

For @sonofchidera, Bluethopia appears determined to play matchmaker.

“Bluethopia na the biggest A&B shipper. She wan make Aikou propose with ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ ball from Biggie and after the show… wedding bells.”

Yusuf

Yusuf’s interactions with the female housemates have also become a talking point.

@adthedoll described him as lovable and said he appears to be making an effort to mingle with everyone.

According to @april: “Now I understand what Yusuf meant. He’ll avoid the chaos but won’t miss a single episode of it. My guy loves drama from a safe distance. No wonder he was collecting the handshakes.”

Offering a different perspective, @oba_handler wrote:

“The ladies are upset with Yusuf because on their first entrance into the Big Brother house, he didn’t get a chance to greet them properly. He was too caught up reconnecting with his friend. Yusuf is a certified lover boy and the ladies clearly like him. Their frustration isn’t dislike—it’s the opposite. They are just not happy that he hasn’t given them the attention they were hoping for yet. If only Yusuf knew how many people are eyeing him from outside the show right now. That’s a story for another day. Anyway, Yusuf is everybody’s husband.”

Meet the 24 housemates

This season’s contestants come from diverse professional and personal backgrounds.

Among the women are broadcaster Sheba, entrepreneur Flora, musician Goddessa, sales entrepreneur Oyin, photographer and model Bluethopia, fashion entrepreneur Nomy, lawyer Neche, student Temi Nkem, model and chef Abi, performance artist Mercedes, entrepreneur Kamsy, and student Bells.

The male contestants include fashion model Araga, fashion designer Barry, author Tram, actor and presenter Gerard, writer and filmmaker Ricky, pharmacist and actor Chimsom Chuka, backend developer Aikou, entrepreneur Cassi, creative director Martins, dancer and filmmaker Sultex, web developer Keivo, and actor Yusuf.

With alliances already forming and strong personalities beginning to emerge, fans believe Season 11 is shaping up to deliver another memorable edition of Africa’s biggest reality television show.
