Tinubu’s economic policies have tansformed Nigeria – Gov Sule

By Soni Daniel, Northern Region Editor

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, on Saturday said that the policies of the President Bola Tinubu administration had created more funds for the development of the country.

The governor spoke when he received the Presidential Media Team/Renewed Hope Ambassadors, who are in the state to inspect state and federal projects.

Eng. Sule cited Nasarawa State as an example which has been able to execute many projects worth over N90 billion with the increased funds made available to him from the federation account.

Sule disclosed that the various projects executed in the state were done without any borrowing from the bank.

The governor lauded President Tinubu for the audacious steps he took on assumption of office to remove fuel subsidy and liberalise foreign exchange rates.

Eng. Sule said: “We were getting N4.5 billion as monthly allocation from the federation account until President Tinubu boldly removed fuel subsidy and introduced other economic reforms.

“Following the removal of fuel subsidy, we now receive between N14 billion to N16 billion monthly.

“As a result of the increased funding, we have been able to carry out many projects in education, health and agriculture to add value to our people.

“All the projects we are doing in Nasarawa today are fully funded by the cash given to us by President Tinubu and we have to give him due credit.

“I use the money to do projects in education, which is key to me. I have built skills acquisition centres to teach people skills on how to earn money and live better. I have also built a post-retirement skill acquisition scheme so that retirees can also learn skills to live on.

The two lithium production plants we have in the state are working because of the good policies of the Tinubu government, which has created a conducive climate for industrialisation to thrive in Nasarawa and Nigeria,” the governor said.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Strategy, Chief Bayo Onanuga, who led the media team to the Government House, said Nigerians are now reaping the benefits of the painful decision President Tinubu took upon assumption of office in 2023.

“Democracy in the past three years has been very active and beneficial than previously,” Onanuga said.

The PMT/RHA is in Nasarawa State to inspect projects being carried out in the state by the federal and the state government.

It had earlier inspected projects in Benue State within the week.
