Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has described the re-emergence of Vice President Kashim Shettima as the running mate to President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 general elections as a significant step toward the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s electoral success.

Senator Ndume stated this after visiting Vice President Shettima at his residence to congratulate him following his emergence as President Tinubu’s running mate for the forthcoming election.

According to the lawmaker, President Tinubu’s decision reflects foresight, strategic leadership, and confidence in Shettima’s capacity, loyalty, and commitment to the administration.

“I visited His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, to congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition. It is our responsibility, both as leaders and as citizens of Borno State, to identify with and celebrate one of our own,” Ndume said.

He expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for retaining Shettima as his running mate, noting that the Vice President’s experience, political strength, and unwavering loyalty would further strengthen the APC’s chances in the 2027 general elections.

Ndume described Shettima as a dependable leader whose dedication to national service and commitment to the ideals of the APC have continued to inspire confidence among party members and Nigerians.

He expressed optimism that the Tinubu-Shettima ticket would consolidate the achievements of the current administration and provide a strong platform for the party to secure victory in the 2027 polls.
