Apple launched the iPhone 17 globally on September 9, 2025, with the 256GB base model starting at $799 in the United States.

The US remains one of the cheapest places to buy the device, although some countries, including Saudi Arabia and Thailand, offer prices that are close to or slightly below the US price.

Markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam also have relatively competitive prices for the iPhone 17.

European markets such as the UK, Germany and France also have prices approaching or exceeding $980, largely reflecting local VAT rates.

Meanwhile, buyers in Canada, Japan, Australia and South Korea can expect to pay between roughly $850 and $930.

The figures show how taxes, import policies and regional pricing strategies can significantly affect the cost of Apple’s smartphones. For buyers looking for the lowest official retail prices, the US and a handful of other markets remain among the most attractive options.
