How ONSA-coordinated Military, DSS, Counter-Terrorism Operation Rescued 308 Kidnap Victims in Kwara, Niger

Details have emerged on how a joint security operation involving the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian military, operatives of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC), the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies rescued 308 kidnap victims across Kwara and Niger states on Wednesday.
A security source described the operation as one of the largest and most successful rescue missions, revealing that the coordinated operation was conducted simultaneously across the two states, culminating in the successful rescue of all 308 victims.
According to the source, 163 of those rescued had been abducted from Woro Community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, while the remaining 145 victims were rescued in Niger State.
The source added that the rescued victims are currently receiving medical attention at the Military Medical Facility, Wawa Cantonment, New Bussa Local Government Area of Niger State.
