Dangote Cement insider buys 986 shares

LAGOS: Dangote Cement Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited, NGX, and the investing public of a recent share transaction by one of its insiders.

The disclosure was made in compliance with the NGX post-listing rules governing transactions by directors and other insiders of listed companies.

According to a statement filed with the NGX, titled “Notification of Share Dealing by Insiders” and signed by the Company Secretary, Edward Imoedemhe, the company’s Head of Treasury, Omode Emmanuel Oladimeji, acquired 986 ordinary shares of Dangote Cement valued at N996,491.01.

The transaction, which took place on May 4, 2026, was disclosed as an initial notification of insider dealing in line with Rule 111 of the NGX Rules Governing Director and Insider Dealings.

The filing showed that the purchase was executed in two tranches.

Oladimeji acquired 263 shares at N1,008.15 per share in the first tranche and 723 shares at N1,013.13 per share in the second tranche.

The combined transaction amounted to 986 ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average acquisition price of N1,010.64 per share.

The disclosure forms part of the mandatory reporting requirements for share transactions involving insiders of companies listed on the NGX.
