2027: Dickson calls for unity after meeting with Obi, Kwankwaso ahead of campaign launch

ABUJA- AHEAD of January 16, 2027 Presidential and National Assembly elections, the national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has called on party members to unite and work as one indivisble body for the success of their candidates at all levels.

The advise by the former Bayelsa State governor was sequel to his two days of talks with the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Dickson who made this known on his verified Facebook page, disclosed that he met with the party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and his running mate, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside the National Chairman and other party leaders, in continuation of consultations and deliberations on issues concerning the party and the nation.

According to him, the party had met two days ago and met again yesterday (Thursday) to further deliberate and finalise decisions, particularly as preparations continue for the unveiling of the party’s Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Senator Dickson appealed to all stakeholders, aspirants and members of the party to close ranks, adding: “At this critical stage, I call on all stakeholders, aspirants and members of our great Party to unite, close ranks and work collectively for the success of our candidates at all levels, from top to bottom.”
