Trump Executes Coup in Venezuela; Maduro Removed by U.S. Military Force

​President Donald Trump has carried out a coup in Venezuela, confirming via Truth Social that U.S. forces executed a “large-scale strike” to forcefully remove President Nicolás Maduro from power.

The operation resulted in the capture and immediate extraction of Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, effectively toppling the administration.

​The coup involved elite U.S. units, including Delta Force, and targeted critical state infrastructure. Explosions destroyed key military sites such as Fuerte Tiuna and La Carlota air base, crippling local defense capabilities.

While the Trump administration justified the overthrow as the enforcement of narco-terrorism warrants, Venezuelan officials have denounced the intervention as “grave military aggression,” declaring a national emergency in the wake of the leadership’s removal.
