Photos: Kwankwaso, Gwarzo meet Obasanjo in Kano
Vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Thursday visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Kano State.
Kwankwaso was accompanied by the NDC governorship candidate for Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo.
The visit was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan.
According to the statement, Obasanjo, who is in Kano on an official assignment, received the duo at his temporary residence in the state.
“His Excellency, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, this night paid a courtesy visit to a statesman and former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, at his temporary residence in Kano,” the statement read.
The statement said the meeting featured “warm exchanges” between the political leaders but did not provide details of the discussions.
